On behalf of the Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons and the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the The Global Masters Aesthetic Symposium on October 24-27, 2017 in Tehran. Every year, The Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons brings together plastic surgeons and leading scholars from around the world to address the up-to-date issues and communicate related advances and share information and lessons learned. This year, The Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons intends to hold The Global Masters Aesthetic Symposium.
It has taken great strenuous effort to design the congress to provide an innovative and comprehensive overview of the latest research developments primarily in the areas of Rhinoplasty and Face, Breast, and Body Contouring. We have a full agenda and many distinguished plastic surgeons and scientists have joined the faculty and will take part in this congress. We have received cordial help from ISAPS and we do expect a large number of plastic surgeons to attend the event.
I am looking forward to meeting you friends and colleagues in the beautiful city of Tehran in October at what promises to be a most exciting and enjoyable event. I hope that you will enjoy the congress and that your interaction with plastic surgeons from different countries will stimulate a creative exchange of ideas and will be personally rewarding. Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi, M.D.

Dr. Ali Sajjadian, M.D.
Based in Newport Beach, Dr. Sajjadian is one of few plastic surgeons in the United States who holds Triple Board Certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology, as well as the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. For four consecutive years, Dr. Sajjadian received the honor as one of “America’s Top Physicians”. He is a former Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and a faculty member of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Sajjadian conducted extensive research and taught cosmetic and plastic surgery of the face, breast and body to both residents and fellows. He is also a former instructor of Facial Plastic Surgery at Emory University. Dr. Kamran Khoobehi, M.D.
Dr. Kamran Khoobehi is a board-certified New Orleans, LA plastic surgeon. He is dedicated to mastering the art of cosmetic surgery and is admired by patients and peers for performing treatments with a sophisticated, personal touch. Dr. Khoobehi performs both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for the face, breast, and body. He is known throughout the New Orleans and Metairie communities for creating gorgeous outcomes that are both natural in appearance, and long-lasting. Dr. Nazim Cerkes, M.D.
Dr. Nazim Cerkes had his plastic surgery training between 1985-1990 at the Department of Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. During his residency, he specifically worked on the field of microsurgery and started the first clinical applications of reconstructive microsurgery at the department.
Between 1990 – 1991 worked in UAB (The University of Alabama at Birmingham – USA) at the Department of Plastic Surgery as research and clinical fellow.
Between 1992-2002 Doctor Nazim Cerkes served as Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.
In the beginning of 2002, he founded Cosmed Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center and has been in private practice since that time.
Dr.Cerkes has been invited several important international meetings to give lectures and perform live surgery demonstrations, particularly on rhinoplasty. Every year many plastic surgeons from all over the world visit his clinic to observe his rhinoplasty techniques.
Prof Dr Nazim Cerkes is the President of The Rhinoplasty Society of Europe, Vice President of International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Past President of Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Wiliam Little, M.D.
while Dr. Little limits his surgery to facial rejuvenation at home in Washington, he has performed reconstructive surgery overseas as a volunteer throughout his career. He has led more than 60 surgical missions to Hispaniola (Haiti and the Dominican Republic) for the correction of birth defects, tumors, burn deformities, and other injuries in disadvantaged children and adults, a commitment that has been recognized and honored on multiple occasions.
Dr. Enrico Robotti, M.D.
Following Board qualifications in General Surgery and in Plastic Surgery, Military Service as Surgical Officer in the Navy and three subsequent years of training in the United States, Enrico Robotti became Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery of the “Ospedali Riuniti” (now Papa Giovanni XXIII) in Bergamo, Italy since 1997. With over 9000 cases to present date, he has been active in general reconstructive plastic surgery, with emphasis on flap reconstruction in the Head & Neck, extremities, and trunk, including microsurgery. In private practice, he is actively involved with a vast scope of cosmetic surgery, with predominant focus on rhinoseptoplasty. The latter subspecialty has especially grown in recent years, with a special interest in complex secondary and tertiary cases. Dr Robotti has authored or co-authored over 500 papers and presentations, and has been chairman, moderator, panelist or invited speaker at a large number of national and international meetings. He has organized 18 live-surgery courses in plastic surgery hosting renowned international surgeons at the “Ospedali Riuniti”. He has founded and directed the “First Bergamo Open Rhinoplasty Course” in Bergamo in 2008, an international biennial intensive course specifically devoted to open rhinoplasty. Subsequent expanded editions of the course followed in 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016, with a wide participation of attendees from many different countries, thus establishing the “Bergamo Open Rhinoplasty Course” as one of the foremost rhinoplasty symposia in the world. Since January 2015 he also runs the “ Bergamo Advanced Minifellowship in Revision Rhinoseptoplasty”, a “hands on” course for a limited number of international surgeons with an interest in this field. Dr Robotti is Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery at the University of Torino and Milano, as well as member of diverse plastic surgical societies such as SICPRE, ASPS, ISAPS, ESPRAS and EASAPS. He sat for six years in the advisory board of SICPRE (Italian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery). He was elected President of the Italian Society of Plastic Surgery for the year 2012-2013 and chaired the National meeting of the Society in 2014. Dr Robotti is a member of the Education Council of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Surgery) and is an ISAPS International Visiting Professor since 2013. He is Reviewer for the journal “Aesthetic Plastic Surgery” regarding the topic “Rhinoseptoplasty”. He is founding member and current President-Elect of the “The Rhinoplasty Society of Europe”, established in Stuttgart in 2011 and European counterpart to the American “ Rhinoplasty Society”. Dr Robotti also teaches at the Post Graduate Masters in Aesthetic Surgery of the Universities of Milan and Padova, on the topic of “Open Rhinoplasty”.
Dr. Luiz Toledo, M.D.
Dr. Luiz Toledo, Brazilian Plastic Surgeon, studied in São Paulo and went on to train and specialize under Prof. William Callia graduating as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in 1975 and becoming a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery – SBCP – in 1976.
Dr. Toledo worked from his Plastic Surgery Clinic in São Paulo offering his patients, many who came from abroad to operate, facial and body contouring surgeries and procedures along with his aftercare facility Beatrix Aesthetics for skin care and lymphatic drainage.
While maintaining his practice and working around the Middle East region since 2001, Dr. Toledo was offered a position in a busy Dubai practice and moved to Dubai in 2006 with his family.
Dr. Toledo, over the past nearly 30 years has been involved in lecturing and teaching around the world. He has written and edited 14 books. His book Refinements inFacial and Body Contouring has been translated into several languages. His Superficial Liposculpture book, co-written with Marco Gasparotti and Carson Lewis became one of the landmark books at the time. He has published more than 60 scientific papers and guest edited editions of Clinics in Plastic Surgery. He has given teaching courses on his body contouring techniques at the ASPS and ASAPS congress during 15 years. He was ISAPS Course Director for seven years, organizing courses all over the World. He has organized annual symposiums in Belgrade, Serbia for over 10 years. He is currently the scientific director of the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society organizing monthly meetings for the local plastic surgeons. His last international meeting was the first Dubai ISAPS Course in Jan 2014.
Dr. Alexis Verpaele, M.D.
Dr. Alexis Verpaele graduated as a doctor of medicine, surgery and obstetrics in 1988. In 1994 he specialised as a general surgeon under Professor Derom. He completed his training in plastic surgery in the British city of Norwich and at Ghent University Hospital under Professor Monstrey, where he worked from 1994 to 1997. Between 1997 and 1999 he was on the staff of the plastic surgery department of Ghent University Hospital.
Since 1999 Dr. Verpaele has been the co-director of the Coupure Centre for Plastic Surgery in Ghent and the ‘t Zwin Medical Centre in the Dutch town of Oostburg. He has been appointed Fellow of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum and Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Surgery. He also acts as a plastic surgery consultant at Ghent University Sint-Lucas and assistant clinical professor at Ghent University Hospital. With his colleague Dr. Tonnard he set up the ‘Aesthetic Medical Centre 2’ (E:MC²) in 2007. This is an exclusive private surgical centre for aesthetic surgery in Sint-Martems-Latem.
Together with Dr. Tonnard he developed the revolutionary MACS lift, a minimally invasive facelift technique that aims to produce the best and most natural result with rapid recovery and minimal complications. This achievement has earned him and Dr. Tonnard an international reputation.
In 2004 and 2007 they contributed two scientific chapters about this surgical technique, written for plastic surgeons all over the world: The MACS-lift Short Scar Rhytidectomy, 2004, St Louis; and Short Scar Face-lifting, Operative Strategies and Techniques, 2007, St Louis.
Dr. Verpaele is a member of the Royal Belgian Society for Surgery, the Belgian and Dutch Association for Plastic Surgery, the ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and the ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons).
He has written numerous publications on reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Verpaele has presented over a hundred papers on facelifts, breast enlargement, fillers and botox at international conferences and has contributed to many popular and scientific articles.
Dr. Verpaele and Dr. Tonnard set up ‘See and Smile’ in 2006. This is an association of Flemish plastic surgeons and ophthalmologists who travel to developing countries at regular intervals to perform operations. They carry out basic plastic surgery procedures (especially treatment for hare lip and cleft palate) and eye treatments (especially for cataracts). Their destinations so far have included Pnom Penh (Cambodia), Oaxaca (Mexico), Sagain (Myanmar) and Flores (Indonesia).
Dr Farhad Hafezi MD, FACS
Farhad Hafezi graduated from Alborz High School, in Tehran, in 1971 and passed the national universities entrance exam with honors (top 20 among 80’000) entering Shiraz University medical school (formerly Pahlavi University) in the same year. He received his MD with honors in 1979 (top 5 percent) and became double board certified, General Surgery in 1987 and Plastic Surgery in 1992.
He completed his plastic surgery fellowship in London, England, at The Hospital for Sick Children with Barry jones, and the Mount Vernon Hospital and also with late prof. Clause Walter in clinic am Rosenberg, Switzerland. Dr. Hafezi has published over 65 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 2 textbooks and also has presented over 75 lectures at regional and international scientific meetings.
His academic achievements placed him in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (then Iran University) as the first full professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
He is member of editorial board of prestigious Aesthetic Plastic Surgery journal (ISAPS official journal) and Iranian journal of surgery. He also is reviewer for several international and national journals and has been elected as a member of board of directors of Iranian society of Plastic and Aesthetic surgeons for four consecutive periods
Dr. Hafezi is an active member of the scientific community. He is fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), member of American society of plastic surgeons (ASAPS), member of American society of Aesthetic plastic surgeons (ASAPS), member of International society of Aesthetic plastic surgeons (ISAPS).
Dr. Ali Manafi, M.D.
Doctor Manafi was born in Ardebil and completed his education up to high school in that city. In 1978, he passed the entrance examination with a high ranking and entered the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and graduated in 1988. He was directly accepted in the surgical residency program in the Shiraz University because of his honors and completed the program in 1992. He was known by his professors and hence was adopted as a faculty member at the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences since 1992. Doctor Manafi took the first place in the entrance examination of plastic surgery in 1994 and graduated in 1997 with the top ranking in the Plastic Surgery Board Exam. He has performed over twelve thousand plastic and cosmetic surgeries since 1994, and trained hundreds of medical students, dozens of surgical residents, and more than 90 residents of plastic surgery. He is currently a faculty member at the Iran University of Medical Sciences. Doctor Manafi has attended several complementary courses including head and face surgery in the University of Freiburg, Germany, and cosmetic surgery in Cleveland Clinic, Zeeba Clinic of Ohio, Paces Clinic of Atlanta, and the Southern Western University of Dallas. He is member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, member of the International Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the chief editor of the World Journal of Plastic Surgery.
In addition, Doctor Manafi has published more than 58 specialized article in the field of plastic surgery in international journals and books with a high value of citations (h-index = 11).
Doctor Manafi has devised new techniques and practices in rhinoplasty and reconstruction and repair of the nose, chest, and ears and has 5 patents in the field of plastic surgery equipment and tools.
Dr. Abdoljalil Kalantar Hormozi M.D.
Dr Kalantar Hormozi ,AJ , MD ,
Board certified Plastic surgeon, Professor , Head of Wemen and pediatric Plastic & Craniofacial Surgery Department ,Head of CMF Team , Shahid Beheshti Medical University, Tehran, Iran .
He has additional study and education in CMF field at UK and France Medical Universities.
He has focused his practice on face and craniofacial aesthetic ( Rhinoplasty and Face Rejuvenation) and reconstruction ( craniofacial anomalies) for more than 25 years.
He has published many articles and introduced several new techniques and approaches in this field.
Formerly, he was President of Iranian Society of Plastic &Aesthetic Surgeons.
Dr. Hamid Massiha, M.D.
Dr. Massiha has maintained a private practice in plastic surgery in the New Orleans area since 1976. During his distinguished career he has earned a reputation as one of the most skilled and respected plastic surgeons in the region. Over the years, Dr. Massiha has developed a number of innovative techniques in breast reconstruction, facelift, rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty. He has been board certified in Plastic Surgery since 1976 and is also board-eligible in General Surgery.
Dr. Massiha earned his medical degree from Tehran University in Tehran, Iran in 1966. He went on to complete an internship at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri in 1969 – and completed a residency in General Surgery at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in Missouri in 1972. In 1974, Dr. Massiha completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He also served as Chief Resident, General Surgery, at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center – and completed a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at New York University in New York City in 1975.
Throughout his career, Dr. Massiha has also served as a clinical professor and made dozens of educational and instructional presentations by invitation. He has also been published numerous times in prominent medical journals and has presented several scientific exhibits as well as numerous papers and abstracts. He has also been invited to make presentations at more than 50 seminars.
Dr. Timothy James Marten, M.D.
Dr. Timothy James Marten MD and FACS is male, has 27 years of experience and practices in Plastic Surgery.
Timothy Marten, MD, FACS is a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and Founder and Director of the Marten Clinic of Plastic Surgery in San Francisco, California. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and went on to complete three fellowships in aesthetic surgery.
Dr Marten is an internationally recognized expert on surgery to improve and rejuvenate the face, and is a member of over twenty professional societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The American Association of Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He has made over three hundred scientific presentations on aesthetic plastic surgery, and has published numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters on facelift surgery and related topics.
Dr Marten has been recognized and honored by the fashion and beauty industries and has been profiled and quoted on television, radio, and in print media including the CNN, NPR, Vogue, W, Allure, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the New York Times.
Dr. Wolfgang Gubisch, M.D.
Curriculum Vitae
Wolfgang Gubisch studied medicine and started Plastic Surgery in 1974 with Prof. E. Schmid, Prof. H. Reichert and Prof. W. Widmaier at the Marienhospital in Stuttgart. He is double-boarded qualified as Plastic Surgeon as well as ENT-Surgeon.
Since 1988 he has been Head of the Clinic of Plastic Surgery, which is the oldest and one of the largest institutions for plastic surgery in Germany. After his habilitation at the University of Würzburg in 1992 he became an apl-Professor in 1999. In 2001, the clinic was separated into three independent highly specialized clinics, and Prof. Gubisch became the Head of the Clinic of Facial Plastic surgery.
His main interest is focused on aesthetic, functional as well as reconstructive nasal surgery. He regularly is invited as lecturer all over the world and guides courses for aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty to demonstrate his surgical techniques. He has written more than 180 scientific publications and has produced several educational films. He is member of many national and international societies as well as an honorary member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Southern Africa and of the Armenian Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.
From 2010 – 2012 he was the president of the German Association of Aesthetic Surgeons (VDÄPC) and Board member of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC). Furthermore, he is holding the gold medal of the All India Rhinology Society for special achievements in rhinosurgery.
In July 2011 he got the honorary doctor award from the University of Athens for his intensive activities in teaching facial plastic surgery.

Since April 2015 Prof. Gubisch is working as Senior Director at the Clinic of Facial Plastic Surgery at the Marienhospital.

Dr. Kamran AsAdi, M.D.

Dr Kamran As’adi, practices as Associate professor at Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Division of Cranio-maxillofacial surgery at Iran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran.
His academic career in field of Aesthetic plastic surgery has been started since 2000 with training of plastic surgery residents in fields of burn reconstruction, Aesthetic surgery and Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an active member of ISAPS and American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
He has been elected as National Secretary of ISAPS for Iran since 2014. In addition, he has been invited as keynote speaker in IMCAS meeting , lecturer in ISAPS course and as invited faculties in Rhinoplasty Society meetings. He is a reviewer of “Aesthetic Surgery Journal(ASJ) “ and “Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery,Global (PRS)”.
He published original papers in PRS , Aesthetic Plastic Surgery , Aesthetic Surgery journal and Annals of Plastic Surgery.
DR. Chiara Botti
Dr.Chiara Botti, Plastic and Aesthetic surgeon, completed her studies at the university of Brescia. She is member of AICPE (Italian Association of Aesthetic plastic surgery) and an honorary member of the Paraguayan Society of plastic surgery
Since the first year of enrollment in the faculty of medicine and surgery she has supported her father( Dr. Giovanni Botti) in daily practice of cosmetic surgery. Therefore as a result, at age 38 she already has 20 years of experience in the field. In the training of Dr. Chiara Botti many and varied were the prolonged periods of training at other colleagues and clinics around the world.
She studied one semester at the Newcastle University in Australia, working at the same time as researcher in endocrinology, which yielded publications in leading international journals.
She participated for protracted periods to surgical activities in the University Hospitals of Lubeck (Germany), Natal (Brazil), Chiba (Japan) and in the departments of prof. Hexner(Frankfurt), Mottura (Cordoba, Argentina), Ribeiro (Rio de Janeiro), Gonzalez (Ribeirao Preto, Brazil), Bratu (Timisoara, Romania), Marten and Bowers (San Francisco, California). In recent years she has taken part in many of the most important courses and conferences in plastic and cosmetic surgery, in Italy as well as abroad (Vienna, Brussels, Stuttgart, Helsinki, Hamburg, Barcelona, Vittorio Veneto, Asuncion, Munich, Ferrara, Bergamo, Padua, Tenerife, Reggio Emilia, Udine, Florence, Ravenna, Tehran, Bern, Berlin just to mention the goals of recent times), both as speaker and operator in live surgery sessions.
She deepened her knowledge in the field of anti-aging medicine by participating to the master organized by the European Society of Anti-aging medicine.
She works at Villa Bella Clinic as surgeon.

On behalf of the Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons and the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the The Global Masters Aesthetic Symposium on October 24-27, 2017 in Tehran. Every year, The Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons brings together plastic surgeons and leading scholars from around the world to address the up-to-date issues and communicate related advances and share information and lessons learned. This year, The Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons intends to hold The Global Masters Aesthetic Symposium.
It has taken great strenuous effort to design the congress to provide an innovative and comprehensive overview of the latest research developments primarily in the areas of Rhinoplasty and Face, Breast, and Body Contouring. We have a full agenda and many distinguished plastic surgeons and scientists have joined the faculty and will take part in this congress. We have received cordial help from ISAPS and we do expect a large number of plastic surgeons to attend the event.
I am looking forward to meeting you friends and colleagues in the beautiful city of Tehran in October at what promises to be a most exciting and enjoyable event. Dr. Ali Sajjadian, M.D.
Based in Newport Beach, Dr. Sajjadian is one of few plastic surgeons in the United States who holds Triple Board Certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology, as well as the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. For four consecutive years, Dr. Sajjadian received the honor as one of “America’s Top Physicians”. He is a former Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and a faculty member of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Sajjadian conducted extensive research and taught cosmetic and plastic surgery of the face, breast and body to both residents and fellows. He is also a former instructor of Facial Plastic Surgery at Emory University. Dr. Sajjadian is well known as one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons & practices for cosmetic nose surgery (Rhinoplasty) as well as corrective and revision Rhinoplasty (to help improve shape and breathing)
Dr. Kamran Khoobehi, M.D.
Dr. Kamran Khoobehi is a board-certified New Orleans, LA plastic surgeon. He is dedicated to mastering the art of cosmetic surgery and is admired by patients and peers for performing treatments with a sophisticated, personal touch. Dr. Khoobehi performs both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for the face, breast, and body. He is known throughout the New Orleans and Metairie communities for creating gorgeous outcomes that are both natural in appearance, and long-lasting. Dr. Khoobehi has been featured as a Castle Connolly “Top Doc”, a distinct recognition given to a small group of surgeons nationwide.
Dr. Nazim Cerkes, M.D.
Dr. Nazim Cerkes had his plastic surgery training between 1985-1990 at the Department of Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. During his residency, he specifically worked on the field of microsurgery and started the first clinical applications of reconstructive microsurgery at the department.
Between 1990 – 1991 worked in UAB (The University of Alabama at Birmingham – USA) at the Department of Plastic Surgery as research and clinical fellow.
Between 1992-2002 Doctor Nazim Cerkes served as Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.
In the beginning of 2002, he founded Cosmed Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center and has been in private practice since that time.
Dr.Cerkes has been invited several important international meetings to give lectures and perform live surgery demonstrations, particularly on rhinoplasty. Every year many plastic surgeons from all over the world visit his clinic to observe his rhinoplasty techniques.
Prof Dr Nazim Cerkes is the President of The Rhinoplasty Society of Europe, Vice President of International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Past President of Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Wiliam Little, M.D.
while Dr. Little limits his surgery to facial rejuvenation at home in Washington, he has performed reconstructive surgery overseas as a volunteer throughout his career. He has led more than 60 surgical missions to Hispaniola (Haiti and the Dominican Republic) for the correction of birth defects, tumors, burn deformities, and other injuries in disadvantaged children and adults, a commitment that has been recognized and honored on multiple occasions.
Dr. Enrico Robotti, M.D.
Following Board qualifications in General Surgery and in Plastic Surgery, Military Service as Surgical Officer in the Navy and three subsequent years of training in the United States, Enrico Robotti became Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery of the “Ospedali Riuniti” (now Papa Giovanni XXIII) in Bergamo, Italy since 1997. With over 9000 cases to present date, he has been active in general reconstructive plastic surgery, with emphasis on flap reconstruction in the Head & Neck, extremities, and trunk, including microsurgery. In private practice, he is actively involved with a vast scope of cosmetic surgery, with predominant focus on rhinoseptoplasty. The latter subspecialty has especially grown in recent years, with a special interest in complex secondary and tertiary cases. Dr Robotti has authored or co-authored over 500 papers and presentations, and has been chairman, moderator, panelist or invited speaker at a large number of national and international meetings. He has organized 18 live-surgery courses in plastic surgery hosting renowned international surgeons at the “Ospedali Riuniti”. He has founded and directed the “First Bergamo Open Rhinoplasty Course” in Bergamo in 2008, an international biennial intensive course specifically devoted to open rhinoplasty. Subsequent expanded editions of the course followed in 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016, with a wide participation of attendees from many different countries, thus establishing the “Bergamo Open Rhinoplasty Course” as one of the foremost rhinoplasty symposia in the world. Since January 2015 he also runs the “ Bergamo Advanced Minifellowship in Revision Rhinoseptoplasty”, a “hands on” course for a limited number of international surgeons with an interest in this field. Dr Robotti is Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery at the University of Torino and Milano, as well as member of diverse plastic surgical societies such as SICPRE, ASPS, ISAPS, ESPRAS and EASAPS. He sat for six years in the advisory board of SICPRE (Italian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery). He was elected President of the Italian Society of Plastic Surgery for the year 2012-2013 and chaired the National meeting of the Society in 2014. Dr Robotti is a member of the Education Council of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Surgery) and is an ISAPS International Visiting Professor since 2013. He is Reviewer for the journal “Aesthetic Plastic Surgery” regarding the topic “Rhinoseptoplasty”. He is founding member and current President-Elect of the “The Rhinoplasty Society of Europe”, established in Stuttgart in 2011 and European counterpart to the American “ Rhinoplasty Society”. Dr Robotti also teaches at the Post Graduate Masters in Aesthetic Surgery of the Universities of Milan and Padova, on the topic of “Open Rhinoplasty”.
Dr. Luiz Toledo, M.D.
Dr. Luiz Toledo, Brazilian Plastic Surgeon, studied in São Paulo and went on to train and specialize under Prof. William Callia graduating as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in 1975 and becoming a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery – SBCP – in 1976.
Dr. Toledo worked from his Plastic Surgery Clinic in São Paulo offering his patients, many who came from abroad to operate, facial and body contouring surgeries and procedures along with his aftercare facility Beatrix Aesthetics for skin care and lymphatic drainage.
While maintaining his practice and working around the Middle East region since 2001, Dr. Toledo was offered a position in a busy Dubai practice and moved to Dubai in 2006 with his family.
Dr. Toledo, over the past nearly 30 years has been involved in lecturing and teaching around the world. He has written and edited 14 books. His book Refinements inFacial and Body Contouring has been translated into several languages. His Superficial Liposculpture book, co-written with Marco Gasparotti and Carson Lewis became one of the landmark books at the time. He has published more than 60 scientific papers and guest edited editions of Clinics in Plastic Surgery. He has given teaching courses on his body contouring techniques at the ASPS and ASAPS congress during 15 years. He was ISAPS Course Director for seven years, organizing courses all over the World. He has organized annual symposiums in Belgrade, Serbia for over 10 years. He is currently the scientific director of the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society organizing monthly meetings for the local plastic surgeons. His last international meeting was the first Dubai ISAPS Course in Jan 2014.
Dr. Alexis Verpaele, M.D.
Dr. Alexis Verpaele graduated as a doctor of medicine, surgery and obstetrics in 1988. In 1994 he specialised as a general surgeon under Professor Derom. He completed his training in plastic surgery in the British city of Norwich and at Ghent University Hospital under Professor Monstrey, where he worked from 1994 to 1997. Between 1997 and 1999 he was on the staff of the plastic surgery department of Ghent University Hospital.
Since 1999 Dr. Verpaele has been the co-director of the Coupure Centre for Plastic Surgery in Ghent and the ‘t Zwin Medical Centre in the Dutch town of Oostburg. He has been appointed Fellow of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum and Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Surgery. He also acts as a plastic surgery consultant at Ghent University Sint-Lucas and assistant clinical professor at Ghent University Hospital. With his colleague Dr. Tonnard he set up the ‘Aesthetic Medical Centre 2’ (E:MC²) in 2007. This is an exclusive private surgical centre for aesthetic surgery in Sint-Martems-Latem.
Together with Dr. Tonnard he developed the revolutionary MACS lift, a minimally invasive facelift technique that aims to produce the best and most natural result with rapid recovery and minimal complications. This achievement has earned him and Dr. Tonnard an international reputation.
In 2004 and 2007 they contributed two scientific chapters about this surgical technique, written for plastic surgeons all over the world: The MACS-lift Short Scar Rhytidectomy, 2004, St Louis; and Short Scar Face-lifting, Operative Strategies and Techniques, 2007, St Louis.
Dr. Verpaele is a member of the Royal Belgian Society for Surgery, the Belgian and Dutch Association for Plastic Surgery, the ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and the ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons).
He has written numerous publications on reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Verpaele has presented over a hundred papers on facelifts, breast enlargement, fillers and botox at international conferences and has contributed to many popular and scientific articles.
Dr. Verpaele and Dr. Tonnard set up ‘See and Smile’ in 2006. This is an association of Flemish plastic surgeons and ophthalmologists who travel to developing countries at regular intervals to perform operations. They carry out basic plastic surgery procedures (especially treatment for hare lip and cleft palate) and eye treatments (especially for cataracts). Their destinations so far have included Pnom Penh (Cambodia), Oaxaca (Mexico), Sagain (Myanmar) and Flores (Indonesia).
Dr Farhad Hafezi MD, FACS
Farhad Hafezi graduated from Alborz High School, in Tehran, in 1971 and passed the national universities entrance exam with honors (top 20 among 80’000) entering Shiraz University medical school (formerly Pahlavi University) in the same year. He received his MD with honors in 1979 (top 5 percent) and became double board certified, General Surgery in 1987 and Plastic Surgery in 1992.
He completed his plastic surgery fellowship in London, England, at The Hospital for Sick Children with Barry jones, and the Mount Vernon Hospital and also with late prof. Clause Walter in clinic am Rosenberg, Switzerland. Dr. Hafezi has published over 65 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 2 textbooks and also has presented over 75 lectures at regional and international scientific meetings.
His academic achievements placed him in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (then Iran University) as the first full professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
He is member of editorial board of prestigious Aesthetic Plastic Surgery journal (ISAPS official journal) and Iranian journal of surgery. He also is reviewer for several international and national journals and has been elected as a member of board of directors of Iranian society of Plastic and Aesthetic surgeons for four consecutive periods
Dr. Hafezi is an active member of the scientific community. He is fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), member of American society of plastic surgeons (ASAPS), member of American society of Aesthetic plastic surgeons (ASAPS), member of International society of Aesthetic plastic surgeons (ISAPS).
Dr. Ali Manafi, M.D.
Doctor Manafi was born in Ardebil and completed his education up to high school in that city. In 1978, he passed the entrance examination with a high ranking and entered the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and graduated in 1988. He was directly accepted in the surgical residency program in the Shiraz University because of his honors and completed the program in 1992. He was known by his professors and hence was adopted as a faculty member at the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences since 1992. Doctor Manafi took the first place in the entrance examination of plastic surgery in 1994 and graduated in 1997 with the top ranking in the Plastic Surgery Board Exam. He has performed over twelve thousand plastic and cosmetic surgeries since 1994, and trained hundreds of medical students, dozens of surgical residents, and more than 90 residents of plastic surgery. He is currently a faculty member at the Iran University of Medical Sciences. Doctor Manafi has attended several complementary courses including head and face surgery in the University of Freiburg, Germany, and cosmetic surgery in Cleveland Clinic, Zeeba Clinic of Ohio, Paces Clinic of Atlanta, and the Southern Western University of Dallas. He has additional study and education in CMF field at UK and France Medical Universities.

He has published many articles and introduced several new techniques and approaches in this field.
Formerly, he was President of Iranian Society of Plastic &Aesthetic Surgeons.
Dr. Hamid Massiha, M.D.
Dr. Massiha has maintained a private practice in plastic surgery in the New Orleans area since 1976. During his distinguished career he has earned a reputation as one of the most skilled and respected plastic surgeons in the region. Over the years, Dr. Massiha has developed a number of innovative techniques in breast reconstruction, facelift, rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty. He has been board certified in Plastic Surgery since 1976 and is also board-eligible in General Surgery.
Dr. Massiha earned his medical degree from Tehran University in Tehran, Iran in 1966. He went on to complete an internship at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri in 1969 – and completed a residency in General Surgery at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in Missouri in 1972. In 1974, Dr. Massiha completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He also served as Chief Resident, General Surgery, at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center – and completed a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at New York University in New York City in 1975.
Throughout his career, Dr. Massiha has also served as a clinical professor and made dozens of educational and instructional presentations by invitation. He has also been published numerous times in prominent medical journals and has presented several scientific exhibits as well as numerous papers and abstracts. He has also been invited to make presentations at more than 50 seminars.
Dr. Timothy James Marten, M.D.
Dr. Timothy James Marten MD and FACS is male, has 27 years of experience and practices in Plastic Surgery.
Timothy Marten, MD, FACS is a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and Founder and Director of the Marten Clinic of Plastic Surgery in San Francisco, California. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and went on to complete three fellowships in aesthetic surgery.
Dr Marten is an internationally recognized expert on surgery to improve and rejuvenate the face, and is a member of over twenty professional societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The American Association of Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He has made over three hundred scientific presentations on aesthetic plastic surgery, and has published numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters on facelift surgery and related topics.
Dr Marten has been recognized and honored by the fashion and beauty industries and has been profiled and quoted on television, radio, and in print media including the CNN, NPR, Vogue, W, Allure, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the New York Times.
Dr. Wolfgang Gubisch, M.D.
Curriculum Vitae
Wolfgang Gubisch studied medicine and started Plastic Surgery in 1974 with Prof. E. Schmid, Prof. H. Reichert and Prof. W. Widmaier at the Marienhospital in Stuttgart. He is double-boarded qualified as Plastic Surgeon as well as ENT-Surgeon.
Since 1988 he has been Head of the Clinic of Plastic Surgery, which is the oldest and one of the largest institutions for plastic surgery in Germany. After his habilitation at the University of Würzburg in 1992 he became an apl-Professor in 1999. In 2001, the clinic was separated into three independent highly specialized clinics, and Prof. Gubisch became the Head of the Clinic of Facial Plastic surgery.
His main interest is focused on aesthetic, functional as well as reconstructive nasal surgery. He regularly is invited as lecturer all over the world and guides courses for aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty to demonstrate his surgical techniques. He has written more than 180 scientific publications and has produced several educational films. He is member of many national and international societies as well as an honorary member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Southern Africa and of the Armenian Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.
From 2010 – 2012 he was the president of the German Association of Aesthetic Surgeons (VDÄPC) and Board member of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC). Furthermore, he is holding the gold medal of the All India Rhinology Society for special achievements in rhinosurgery.
In July 2011 he got the honorary doctor award from the University of Athens for his intensive activities in teaching facial plastic surgery.

Since April 2015 Prof. Gubisch is working as Senior Director at the Clinic of Facial Plastic Surgery at the Marienhospital.

Dr. Kamran AsAdi, M.D.

Dr Kamran As’adi, practices as Associate professor at Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Division of Cranio-maxillofacial surgery at Iran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran.
His academic career in field of Aesthetic plastic surgery has been started since 2000 with training of plastic surgery residents in fields of burn reconstruction, Aesthetic surgery and Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an active member of ISAPS and American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
He has been elected as National Secretary of ISAPS for Iran since 2014. In addition, he has been invited as keynote speaker in IMCAS meeting , lecturer in ISAPS course and as invited faculties in Rhinoplasty Society meetings. He is a reviewer of “Aesthetic Surgery Journal(ASJ) “ and “Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery,Global (PRS)”.
He published original papers in PRS , Aesthetic Plastic Surgery , Aesthetic Surgery journal and Annals of Plastic Surgery.
DR. Chiara Botti
Dr.Chiara Botti, Plastic and Aesthetic surgeon, completed her studies at the university of Brescia. She is member of AICPE (Italian Association of Aesthetic plastic surgery) and an honorary member of the Paraguayan Society of plastic surgery
Since the first year of enrollment in the faculty of medicine and surgery she has supported her father( Dr. Giovanni Botti) in daily practice of cosmetic surgery. Therefore as a result, at age 38 she already has 20 years of experience in the field. In the training of Dr. Chiara Botti many and varied were the prolonged periods of training at other colleagues and clinics around the world.
She studied one semester at the Newcastle University in Australia, working at the same time as researcher in endocrinology, which yielded publications in leading international journals.
She participated for protracted periods to surgical activities in the University Hospitals of Lubeck (Germany), Natal (Brazil), Chiba (Japan) and in the departments of prof. Hexner(Frankfurt), Mottura (Cordoba, Argentina), Ribeiro (Rio de Janeiro), Gonzalez (Ribeirao Preto, Brazil), Bratu (Timisoara, Romania), Marten and Bowers (San Francisco, California). In recent years she has taken part in many of the most important courses and conferences in plastic and cosmetic surgery, in Italy as well as abroad (Vienna, Brussels, Stuttgart, Helsinki, Hamburg, Barcelona, Vittorio Veneto, Asuncion, Munich, Ferrara, Bergamo, Padua, Tenerife, Reggio Emilia, Udine, Florence, Ravenna, Tehran, Bern, Berlin just to mention the goals of recent times), both as speaker and operator in live surgery sessions.
She deepened her knowledge in the field of anti-aging medicine by participating to the master organized by the European Society of Anti-aging medicine.
She works at Villa Bella Clinic as surgeon.
