Al Aly, M.D.

Dr. Aly is a professor of plastic surgery and consultant at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He is considered the pioneer of body contouring after massive weight loss. He published the first textbook on post bariatric plastic surgery entitled “Body Contouring After Massive Weight Loss”, which is considered the “bible” on the subject. He has lectured and/or performed surgical demonstrations in over 25 countries and is considered by many as the world’s foremost authority on plastic surgery after massive weight loss. He is the body contouring section editor for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and associate editor for the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Journal. He is the immediate past and originating Editor-in-chief of the Plastic Surgery Educational Network (PSEN), which is the largest online educational portal for plastic surgeons in the world. Dr. Aly has received the “Lockwood Award”, the most prestigious award given by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery to surgeons that have made major contributions to the field of body contouring.

Luis Toledo, M.D.

Dr. Luiz Toledo, Brazilian Plastic Surgeon, studied in São Paulo and went on to train and specialize under Prof. William Callia graduating as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in 1975 and becoming a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery – SBCP – in 1976.Dr. Luiz Toledo, Brazilian Plastic Surgeon, studied in São Paulo and went on to train and specialize under Prof. William Callia graduating as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in 1975 and becoming a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery – SBCP – in 1976.

Dr. Toledo worked from his Plastic Surgery Clinic in São Paulo offering his patients, many who came from abroad to operate, facial and body contouring surgeries and procedures along with his aftercare facility Beatrix Aesthetics for skin care and lymphatic drainage.

While maintaining his practice and working around the Middle East region since 2001, Dr. Toledo was offered a position in a busy Dubai practice and moved to Dubai in 2006 with his family.

Dr. Toledo, over the past nearly 30 years has been involved in lecturing and teaching around the world. He has written and edited 14 books. His book Refinements in Facial and Body Contouring has been translated into several languages. His Superficial Liposculpture book, co-written with Marco Gasparotti and Carson Lewis became one of the landmark books on the technique.

He has published more than 60 scientific papers and guest edited editions of Clinics in Plastic Surgery. He has given teaching courses on his face and body contouring techniques at the ASPS and ASAPS congress during 15 years. He was ISAPS Course Director for seven years, organizing courses all over the World. He has organized annual symposiums in Belgrade, Serbia for over 10 years. He is currently the scientific director of the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society organizing monthly meetings for the local plastic surgeons. His last international meeting was the first Dubai ISAPS Course in Jan 2014.

Ruth Graf, M.D.

Giovanni Botti, M.D.

Giovanni Botti, m.d., comes from Salò, Lake Garda, Italy and is the head manager and the main surgeon of Villa Bella Clinic, one of the best equipped and most advanced cosmetic-surgery-dedicated clinics in Europe. He took part as faculty member to very many aesthetic surgery courses and congresses, organized by both Universities and Scientific Societies in more than 30 different countries. He also performed demonstrative surgical operations in various hospitals worldwide. He is the author of four complete books: “Liposuzione ambulatoriale” (1988), “Chirurgia estetica dell’invecchiamento facciale” (“Aesthetic surgery of the aging face”-1995), “Mastoplastiche estetiche (“Aesthetic mammaplasties”-2004),”Chirurgia plastica estetica del midface e del collo” (“Midface and neck aesthetic plastic surgery”- 2010), translated in English and Spanish, and wrote chapters of several textbooks together with 71 scientific articles published by the most well-known international medical reviews.

Dr Botti was awarded for his contributions to the improvement of Aesthetic Surgery by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (Philadelphia, 1990), by the Japanese Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (Tokyo, 2000), by the Aegiptyan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (Cairo, 2001), by IMCAS, (Paris 2003, etc.), by the Romanian Society of Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (Sinaia, 2006), by the Moldavian Society of Aesthetic Surgery (2007) and by the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (2010).

He taught several years at the post-graduate aesthetic plastic surgery class of Pavia University and of Siena University and at the aesthetic surgery Master courses of Milan University. He has been clinical professor of Plastic Surgery at the Verona University from 2002 till now. He has also been lecturer in the Master Courses of Aesthetic Surgery of the Padua University, of the Rome University, of the Genoa University, of the Wien University, of the Nice University, of the Lausanne University and has been the director of the annual Course “Vesalius” on facial plastic surgery (for Italian doctors) of the Bruxelles Free University and of the annual Course on aesthetic plastic surgery of Villa Bella Clinic, as well as of the two annual courses on aesthetic surgery of the anatomy department of the Vienna University.

He is honorary member of the French Society of Aesthetic Surgery, of the Aegyptian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, of the Romanian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, of the Moldavian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, of the Serbian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He was the first President of the Italian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AICPE), of which now is the honorary President. He is an active member of various national and international societies (AICPE, ISAPS, EASAPS, AFPS, ISLAS, IPRAS etc.). He is National Secretary of ISAPS for Italy and an ISAPS travelling Professor. And, perhaps even more important, he loves his job!

Constantino Mendieta, M.D.

Dr. Constantino G. Mendieta is a pioneer in the fild of plastic surgery. He is the preeminent fat-grafting specialist and has dedicated his life to perfecting and advancing this surgical method. Fat transfer has been put forward as a means of volume augmentation for years, but Dr. Mendieta’s research and expertise has improved cell-survival rate to nearly 80% – an incredible innovation in this fild. He has dedicated himself to his patients, to patient advocacy, and to educating the world of the benefis and applications of fat grafting. He has improved the lives of thousands of individuals and has raised the profiiency level of the surgical community as a whole.

He has penned the seminal fat-grafting book, “The Art of Gluteal Sculpting,” a book that is taught in classrooms around the world. He spends his time out of surgery lecturing and educating both surgeons and patients around the world. He has dedicated his life to this fild and his efforts will long be remembered as the turning point in the application of fat-grafting augmentation.

Dr. Mendieta has had an appreciation for the art of plastic surgery since he was a child. After observing the work of his uncle, a plastic surgeon, and seeing how he would reconstruct the disfiured faces of war victims, Dr. Mendieta’s focus turned towards plastic surgery during an early age.

He completed his undergraduate degree as well as his medical school education at Creighton University. From there he completed his residency at Maricopa County Hospital in Arizona. Following his residency, Dr. Mendieta was already regarded as one of the most gifted surgeons in America. He spent time in Rio de Janeiro, dedicating himself to observational training. This was followed with fellowships at the Royal College of Surgery in Edinburgh, Scotland, then residency in Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital in the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery department. He began to perfect his craft with the legendary and incredibly inflential physician, Dr. Bruce F. Connell in California.

With an unwavering determination to extract everything there is to know about cosmetic surgery, he completed a fellowship in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery in Atlanta, Georgia, and an aesthetic surgery fellowship at the renowned Harvard Medical School. A media personality on surgical-related issues, Dr. Mendieta has appeared on NBC, CNN, and programs like “The Doctors,” where he furthered his efforts to raise the bar in the surgical community and provide the most insight and transparency to patients.

The Consumer Research Council in America has named Dr. Mendieta one of America’s Top Surgeons for fie years in a row. Today, Dr. Mendieta is a highly qualifid Miami plastic surgeon, serving local, national, and international clientele. With board certifiation from the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), he is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) as well as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).

Timothy J Marten, M.D.

Mokhtar Asaadi, M.D.

Dr. Asaadi graduated from Shiraz Medical School, in Shiraz,Iran in 1973. He did his general surgical training and Plastic Surgery training at Saint Barnabas Medical Center Livingston, New Jersey. Part of his General Surgical training was at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital, New York. He did his Microsurgical Fellowship in Southern Illinois University, Springfield, Illinois and he did his Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship in Manhattan Eye, Ear ,and Throat Hospital in NewYork with Dr.s Thomas Rees , Sherrell Aston, and Daniel Baker.He is Board Certified by American Board Of Surgery and American Board of Plastic Surgery.

He has been in private practice since 1982 in Livingston, New Jersey and New York City. His practice is concentrated on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery of the Face and Body. He has been Chairmain of the Dept of Plastic Surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey from 1999-2001 and again from 2011- present.

Plastic Surgery at Saint Barnabas is one of the oldest Plastic Surgical Depts in the country with 73 members and was started by Dr. Lyndon Peer who was the pioneer in Tissue Transplantation and Fat Grafting.

Dr. Asaadi was Co-Founder of the Persian Cultural Center( Noor Va Danesh) in the Eastern United States.

He also started The Persian-American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Asaadi’s special interest is in Surgical and Non Surgical Treatment Of The Eyelids and Periorbital Area and Face and Ultra Sonic Liposuction for Body Contouring .
