Dear friends and colleagues

On behalf of the Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons and the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the The 2nd Global Masters Aesthetic Symposium on November 13-14, 2018 in Tehran. Every year, The Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons brings together plastic surgeons and leading scholars from around the world to address the up-to-date issues and communicate related advances and share information and lessons learned. This year, The Iranian Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeons intends to hold The 2nd Global Masters Aesthetic Symposium.

It has taken great strenuous effort to design the congress to provide an innovative and comprehensive overview of the latest research developments primarily in the areas of Rhinoplasty and Breast, and Body Contouring. We have a full agenda and many distinguished plastic surgeons and scientists have joined the faculty and will take part in this congress. We have received cordial help from ISAPS and we do expect a large number of plastic surgeons to attend the event.

I am looking forward to meeting you friends and colleagues in the beautiful city of Tehran in November at what promises to be a most exciting and enjoyable event. I hope that you will enjoy the congress and that your interaction with plastic surgeons from different countries will stimulate a creative exchange of ideas and will be personally rewarding. As an internationally recognized teacher and innovator in the plastic surgery field, Dr. Guyuron has focused his practice on facial surgery.

As demonstration of his commitment to innovation, Dr. Guyuron has pioneered many innovative medical techniques to increase the safety of the operation, reduce the adverse effects and augment the success of the surgery, and has shared these techniques with the plastic surgery community through publications, presentations, book chapters, five text books and live surgical demonstrations. Dr. Guyuron has also developed an out-patient procedure for the surgical treatment of migraine headaches that has been recognized by the medical community as innovative and highly successful. He has performed more than 2,500 migraine surgery procedures.

Dr. Totonchi is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery from the American Board of Plastic Surgery proudly serving Cleveland, Westlake and Lyndhurst, Ohio. He has extensive training and experience in cosmetic, craniofacial and reconstructive procedures. He is also one of the few plastic surgeons in the area who performs surgical treatment of migraine headaches. Dr. Totonchi is also an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine.

Dr. Nazim Cerkes had his plastic surgery training between 1985-1990 at the Department of Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. During his residency, he specifically worked on the field of microsurgery and started the first clinical applications of reconstructive microsurgery at the department.

Between 1990 – 1991 worked in UAB (The University of Alabama at Birmingham – USA) at the Department of Plastic Surgery as research and clinical fellow.

Between 1992-2002 Doctor Nazim Cerkes served as Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.

In the beginning of 2002, he founded Cosmed Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center and has been in private practice since that time.

Dr.Cerkes has been invited several important international meetings to give lectures and perform live surgery demonstrations, particularly on rhinoplasty. Every year many plastic surgeons from all over the world visit his clinic to observe his rhinoplasty techniques.

Prof Dr Nazim Cerkes is the President of The Rhinoplasty Society of Europe, Vice President of International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Past President of Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Doctor Manafi was born in Ardebil and completed his education up to high school in that city. In 1978, he passed the entrance examination with a high ranking and entered the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and graduated in 1988. He was directly accepted in the surgical residency program in the Shiraz University because of his honors and completed the program in 1992. He was known by his professors and hence was adopted as a faculty member at the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences since 1992. Doctor Manafi took the first place in the entrance examination of plastic surgery in 1994 and graduated in 1997 with the top ranking in the Plastic Surgery Board Exam. He has performed over twelve thousand plastic and cosmetic surgeries since 1994, and trained hundreds of medical students, dozens of surgical residents, and more than 90 residents of plastic surgery. He is currently a faculty member at the Iran University of Medical Sciences. Doctor Manafi has attended several complementary courses including head and face surgery in the University of Freiburg, Germany, and cosmetic surgery in Cleveland Clinic, Zeeba Clinic of Ohio, Paces Clinic of Atlanta, and the Southern Western University of Dallas. He is  member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, member of the International Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the chief editor of the World Journal of Plastic Surgery.

In addition, Doctor Manafi has published more than 58 specialized article in the field of plastic surgery in international journals and books with a high value of citations (h-index = 11).

Doctor Manafi has devised new techniques and practices in rhinoplasty and reconstruction and repair of the nose, chest, and ears and has 5 patents in the field of plastic surgery equipment and tools.


nuri celikDr. Nuri Celik, M.D.
Nuri A. Çelik completed his plastic surgery training in Istanbul University Hospitals in 1994. He was a plastic surgery fellow with Dr. J. Carraway at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk from 1994 to 1995. He studied brachial plexus and facial nerve surgery as a microsurgery fellow at Baylor College of Medicine between 1995-1997. He did a one-year craniofacial surgery fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin before he returned to Istanbul, Turkey to start his private practice.
He lectures on rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation, blepharoplasty and canthoplasty internationally. He is a member of ISAPS and has served as a Visiting Professor in India in 2014. He is currently the President of the Turkish Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery and holds the Secretary position at the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe.

Course Description

The Global Masters Rhinoplasty Symposium is a unique congregation of leaders in the fields of rhinoplasty. The meeting will focus on detailed discussion of rhinoplasty and it is open to plastic surgeons and facial plastic surgeons.

This meeting will cover basic, intermediate, and advanced knowledge of nose surgery.

The meeting organizers are seasoned experts in providing world-class surgery education.

There will be multiple panels to debate various techniques—presented by the masters who developed these techniques. There will be many videos that demonstrate the masters’ techniques, so a lack of depth in the English language will not be a disadvantage

to attendees.

The meeting will be held in the Espinas Hotel, a state-of-the-art, five-star hotel in Tehran, where the Iranian hospitality is unmatched. Pre- and post-meeting tours will be available

for attendees.

Doctor Manafi has devised new techniques and practices in rhinoplasty and reconstruction and repair of the nose, chest, and ears and has 5 patents in the field of plastic surgery equipment and tools.


nuri celikDr. Nuri Celik, M.D.
Nuri A. Çelik completed his plastic surgery training in Istanbul University Hospitals in 1994. He was a plastic surgery fellow with Dr. J. Carraway at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk from 1994 to 1995. He studied brachial plexus and facial nerve surgery as a microsurgery fellow at Baylor College of Medicine between 1995-1997. He did a one-year craniofacial surgery fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin before he returned to Istanbul, Turkey to start his private practice.
He lectures on rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation, blepharoplasty and canthoplasty internationally. He is a member of ISAPS and has served as a Visiting Professor in India in 2014. He is currently the President of the Turkish Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery and holds the Secretary position at the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe.

Course Description

The Global Masters Rhinoplasty Symposium is a unique congregation of leaders in the fields of rhinoplasty. The meeting will focus on detailed discussion of rhinoplasty and it is open to plastic surgeons and facial plastic surgeons.

This meeting will cover basic, intermediate, and advanced knowledge of nose surgery.

The meeting organizers are seasoned experts in providing world-class surgery education.

There will be multiple panels to debate various techniques—presented by the masters who developed these techniques. There will be many videos that demonstrate the masters’ techniques, so a lack of depth in the English language will not be a disadvantage

to attendees.

The meeting will be held in the Espinas Hotel, a state-of-the-art, five-star hotel in Tehran, where the Iranian hospitality is unmatched. Pre- and post-meeting tours will be available
